With the gradual improvement of the voltage level of domestic substations, the current use of SF6 high-voltage circuit breakers in the power sector is growing at a rate of about 15%/year. In the field of high-voltage, ultra-high voltage and ultra-high voltage switches, SF6 gas has almost become the only insulation and arc extinguishing medium. However, SF6 high-voltage switches are mostly installed indoors with relatively slow air flow. Once SF6 gas leaks, it is easy to cause local hypoxia, resulting in suffocation of staff due to lack of oxygen and posing great safety hazards to personnel safety. At the same time, the arc extinguishing effect of the high-voltage circuit breaker is greatly reduced, causing damage to the circuit breaker body. Therefore, once SF6 gas leakage is found, corresponding measures must be taken to accurately locate the leakage point, repair it, and timely eliminate the potential safety hazards of the high-voltage circuit breaker.In addition to leakage detection, sf6 gas analysis (including humidity and purity detection via sf6 dew point tester) is also a key part of SF6 equipment maintenance.
